Winnipeg Jets
App Launch Animation
FESO animated a national TV broadcast video for the launch of the Winnipeg Jets app.
Designed to communicate core features and functionality to fans at scale.
Launching the app at broadcast scale
Producing content for national broadcast carried inherent complexity: the timeline was compressed, stakeholders included marketing, digital, and creative teams, and every frame required validation for legibility, accuracy, and brand fidelity.

With Studio Nord Est, FESO was responsible for ensuring that each motion element could survive scrutiny on a public stage while remaining intuitive for viewers.
Understanding the audience's cognitive load
The video was designed for an audience accustomed to consuming multiple TV shows in quick succession. FESO structured the motion to maximize watch time and drive app discovery with rapid cuts every 1–2 seconds and music-driven pacing to reinforce attention.

Given the short format, UI animations were minimal to reduce cognitive load. Instead, motion effects highlighted the core message: that the team’s app exists and is ready to engage fans.

Every movement decision was chosen to guide understanding efficiently, ensuring the audience grasped the app’s value instantly while remaining visually captivated.
Modularity to ensure workflow consistency
The challenge was not only visual. It was to maintain clarity, hierarchy, and brand identity within the constraints of a high-impact television spot.

To meet this, FESO applied a procedural approach to motion, designing every component to be modular, repeatable, and reliable.

This approach enabled FESO to deliver motion-ready assets that could be integrated into marketing workflows or adapted for future campaigns, ensuring consistent brand identity across multiple digital touchpoints.
Launch video outcome
The launch video clearly conveyed the app’s existence, core functionality, and value proposition to a national audience.

By structuring motion to capture attention immediately and highlight the most critical information, FESO ensured that fans understood the app experience even within a very short broadcast window.

This project demonstrates how motion can be leveraged as a strategic tool for software launches, SaaS product rollouts, and enterprise-level digital communications.
