Cybersecurity Explainer
FESO partnered with Studio Nord Est to produce a cybersecurity explainer video for Université Laval's IT Department.
Animation ensured technical credibility while remaining accessible to non-specialist audiences.
Turning lessons into motion
The challenge was to translate cybersecurity best practices into clear, pedagogical animation. The material needed to function across a wide range of audiences, from non-technical staff to advanced students, while remaining accurate, practical, and scalable across internal and broadcast platforms.
Connecting characters and ideas
Motion was carefully designed to work in close harmony with the script, serving not just as support, but as a narrative driver. Complex character animations were developed to translate ideas into expressive, engaging performances that reinforced the story’s intent. Each movement was intentionally choreographed to match the rhythm and emotional flow of the script, creating a dynamic visual language that connects concepts clearly and meaningfully.
While the animation work involved detailed and layered motion, clarity always remained a priority. Through precise timing, controlled transitions, and cohesive motion systems, we ensured that even the most dynamic character performances felt natural and easy to follow. The result is animation that feels alive and engaging, while still making the message accessible and unmistakably clear.
Learning that sticks
Motion was used to clarify procedural logic and reinforce decision pathways, ensuring that best practices were not only understood but also actionable at different levels of technical proficiency. The structured use of motion improved comprehension of procedures and decision pathways.
Let's see how we can work together.
