Festival d’été de Québec
Sustainability Promo Animation

FESO worked with Studio Nord Est to bring the festival's sustainability initiatives to life across owned and paid media. Delivered on time, on brief, within a dynamic workflow.
Technical challenges
Festival d’été de Québec required an animation to showcase its sustainability initiatives to the general audience. As a large-scale production, the content needed to reflect operational credibility and align with public communication standards.

The technical challenges involved integrating 2D graphic elements with 3D animated components, establishing visual hierarchy and motion principles that unified both formats.
Blending 2D and 3D elements organically

We animated a bird in flight as the main motion element, executed to simulate a realistic wing movement in timing and continuity. The organicity of this animation was reflected in elements such as the leaves and the branded shapes, creating a natural flow throughout the video.

Our animation direction coordinated the integration of 2D informational graphics with 3D objects, ensuring visual coherence across the full sequence.

The animation was designed to serve as a structural and narrative guide.
Quick solutions to fast turnarounds
To meet a compressed timeline, FESO implemented a systemic workflow based on repeatable motion patterns. This approach enabled rapid production while maintaining visual consistency, avoiding bottlenecks and fragmentation. The system preserved the festival’s visual identity while remaining flexible enough to adapt to evolving production needs.

The resulting video clearly and concisely communicated FEQ’s sustainability initiatives, supporting comprehension across channels.
Let's see how we can work together.
